Halloween word collage, Boo blocks, and Pumpkins

This collage was super cheap and easy to make. Turned out pretty cute I think! I just painted a gift box black, cut everything out of white cardstock with the cricut using my Sure Cuts A Lot program, mod podged each letter on (that was the tedious part, maybe you could do it some other way??), then mod podged over the entire thing. Simple and cute! You could hang it on the wall or just have it sitting somewhere. Mine is sitting on my mantle:)

I made some Boo blocks like Laura did in a post down below. I did mine on a 2 x 4 since that's all I had. To make them i just painted the wood black, cut paper, cut letters, inked the letters, and mod podged it all on!

I copied these cute pumpkins from the link 'easy wooden pumpkins' over on the side bar! Check them out! Once again, easy and cute:)

BOO Blocks!

I made some "Boo Blocks" for my mom as a Halloween gift (surprise, mom!). She is always making me cute things so I thought it would be fun to have something cute for Halloween. Here is the tutorial--->

Supplies:
4x4 blocks (or any size you want, really. I cut mine myself and do not advise to do so, but you can buy pre-cut at any craft store or have Home Depot cut some for you. And yes, I meant for them to be uneven-ha!).
Scrapbook paper of your choice (I got some Halloween paper but your could just use Halloween colors)
Mod-podge
Spray paint color of your choice ( I used flat black)
Pre-cut letters (thanks Meghanne for the Cricket usage. PS. A cricket is the only thing on my Christmas list this year...me want).

Cut out your paper to slightly smaller than you block. I did two layers of different color. Glue these down and then add your letters. I sanded the edges a little to add a de-stressed look. Then mod podge over that and add any little embellishments you would like-I added a few glittery spider stickers.

Here they are!
Can go both ways...which is fun....
Verticle
 Horizontal

You really can do this idea with any saying you like. Its simple and cheap. This project was about $11. It was fun and I loved how they turned out! Have fun

And did you see this? One of our posts was show-cased on a big time craft blog site with over 2,000 followers...awesome! :)

Acorn Jar & 2x4 Pumpkin

Here are a couple of easy crafts/decor ideas to help 'fall up' your house! The acorn jar is pretty self explainatory, just add some acorns to a jar you have---any jar. I picked these up on my our jog one morning...got some pretty funny looks. :)
Second, is the 2x4 pumpkin that is sooooo stinkin' easy. A group of girlfriends did it this morning and its so simple. Find that tutorial here or on the side under {Cute Halloween Crafts}.

ALSO: I thought it would be fun to start a designated day of something crafty and I came up with "Sew Saturday!" Every Saturday try and post something that you have sewn (or something you want to sew) and share the tutorial or pattern with us. Oh, and feel free to share other crafts that day too....

Countdown blocks...

First saw this cute and easy project HERE
supplies: 2x4, 4x4, spray paint, modge podge, scrapbook paper, fingernail file
I used 2x4 for the bottom 8" in length and 2 4x4 blocks 4" wide
sand, and round edges to your liking
than spray paint with whatever color you like...can make specific for a holiday
Block numbers: 0,1,2,3,4,5
                            0,1,2,6,7,8
use a font that is easy to read so that you can use your 6 as a 9
Cut scrapbook paper smaller than blocks
I used a cricut to cut out my numbers and countdown letters
Use rough fingernail file to destress the edges of the paper and numbers
Modge Podge the paper to the block, let dry
Than modge podge numbers on and over every side of the blocks
I used 2 different kinds of paper but you can use as many as you would like
I also put  the word 'countdown' on one side for an actual countdown
and the other side is blank so I can use it for a calendar
Enjoy....HAPPY CRAFTING
