Market Skirt

I saw this skirt on Made forever ago, and have been wanting to make on ever since. I have a niece that is turning two this week, so this was the perfect opportunity. (She's starting into potty-training, so the elastic waist will be perfect for her)

Dana's tutorial is great, but I made a few changes. I made the bottom white part double the width, and folded it. This way, fabric wasn't as see through, and I didn't have to hem it.

I also simplified the pockets. She does this weird ironing thing with her pockets, but I just cut out an extra pair, sewed them together, then flipped it right sides out. That way, they're fully lined and I didn't have to fuss with all that ironing.

Cute for Summer!
